 Keith is the current El Paso Community College "Theatre Ensembe/Performers Studio Artistic Director." Raised in the tiny town of Sedalia,Missouri Keith Townsend has always had a young desire for the field of performance.Keith has attained many education, directing, and acting credentials as well as a numerous amount of accolades. His drecting credentials include those of many big name productions such as Rent, Godspell, Avenue Q and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. In 2013 Keith recieved two outstanding awards, including the Minnie Piper Stevens Award which exemplifies outstading professors in their field. As well as the "Phi Rho Pi Service Award", recognizing his outstanding service to the forensic circuit.

     

      Keith's Academic Accolades are what makes him an outstanding leading director for the EPCC Performance Studies Program, Keith has attained a broad practice in theatre, which has made the craft his sole objective in directing the program, so that it may succeed at its highest prosperous level, so that he can ingrain a theatrical education to the greater good of the El Paso Community.

   

     

     Keith is also is the Director of Forensics, through this achieved program he directs the college's National Forensic team, which has established a well known name through the National Honor Societies of Pi Kappa Delta and Phi Rho Pi for its award winning competiton events. Keith oversees many positions at the El Paso Community College Forum Theater, as  well as managing the performers studio staff. Not only does Keith manage many sectors of the Transmountain Forum Theater but he also teaches various classes which include Fundamentals of Effective Speech(SPCH 1351); Oral Interpretation(2341) , Introduction to Theater(DRAM 1310) and Acting I & 2 (DRAM 1351/1352)
