MISSION STATEMENT

The EPCC Theatre and Performance Studies Program (The Program) is an organization of theatre artists who come together for the purpose of expanding their knowledge and talents in all areas of theatre production and performance, encompassing the following groups working in concert, producing the performance works of The Program: The Theatre Ensemble, The Performer’s Studio, The Intercollegiate Performance Studies Team and the collaboration with the El Paso Community Foundation's, grant funded annual VIVA! EL PASO! production.  The Program provides an opportunity and venue for artists to collaborate on production and performance work, with a primary focus of The Program being to produce work that is considered to be performance as an art form as well as performance as a way of studying how people move through the world as individuals, construct identity, and build community together.  The goal is to bring live theatre production in the forms of cutting edge performances of new and classic published works, original plays showcasing the local playwriting talents of the community, along with southwest premieres and revivals of award winning traditional and commercially successful productions, providing an opportunity for the El Paso community to experience the celebration of the varied facets of high quality live theatre production at an affordable price, comparable to the community's economic status.
